There’s no denying that Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa had a pretty great relationship. They were madly in love with each other and had a beautiful baby boy. The boy they named Sebastian was born in February 2013.
In Love with Kanye
Before dating Khalifa, Amber was in love with Kanye West, but the two went their separate ways over what they referred to as “irreconcilable differences.”
Amber ended up with Khalifa, while Kanye West started dating Kim Kardashian, even though she was still the legal wife of Kris Humphries. The relationship between West and Amber never lasted. They divorced in June 2013, just 72 days into their marriage.
Amber Rose Interviewed by Sofia Franklin
In a podcast interview hosted by Sofia Franklin, Amber was asked who she loved more between Wiz Khalifa and Kanye West (both previous partners). Surprisingly, Rose said that that “wasn’t even a question.” “I think people like to ask about my relationship with Kanye, but it was 13 years ago, guys. “I obviously have to bring him up because he’s a huge part of my story and how I got here,” she said, adding that she feels people are obsessed with her relationship because she was in it when it was the most fantastic time in hip-hop culture.
What Went Wrong?
Amber and Khalifa dated for only two years before tying the knot in a colorful wedding in 2013. However, their marriage lasted for slightly more than a year. Amber filed for divorce in late 2015. The two now have a joint custody arrangement for their son, Sebastian Taylor Thomaz.
Rumors have it that the divorce was because of Khalifa’s infidelity. That notwithstanding, the two have maintained a cordial relationship since they separated. According to Amber, Wiz is still the “best of friends.” They still party together once in a while.
“It’s so crazy that we are literally the best of friends,” Rose said. “We hang out all the time.” We have full family days with the baby. The other night, we went out to a strip club without the baby. We just had a great fuckin’ time. We spent like $30,000 on strippers. It was sick. “It was so cool,” she added.
