Travis Scott Upholds HEAL Project Following Backlash

(GEMS RADIO)—Travis Scott is defending his HEAL Project following harsh backlash on it.

Rapper Travis Scott started a safety program that offered scholarships to HBCU students. It also helps young people find and use the tools they need for mental health. Plus, he is helping to set up a task force at large scale concert and events, so that Astroworld atrocities do not happen again.

Some of the victims’ parents and extended family consider this a PR stunt. The victims’ families say this is a way to sway with the jurors in the case.

Travis Scott’s spokesperson said that it was beyond cynical of accusing Travis Scott of such a thing. She adds, “It is also disappointing that Travis Scott is being attacked over Project HEAL, a series of philanthropic gestures designed to give students and young people a leg up. Project HEAL is a continuation of Travis Scott’s longstanding work, including academic scholarships and creative design programs for underprivileged students.”
