(GEMS RADIO)—Tory Lanez has filed a motion to start a new trial against Megan Thee Stallion. The request has been thrown out though because it “lacks substance”. This is according to the Los Angeles prosecutors.
A new trial may only be granted if the defendant can “demonstrate a reversible error or other defect.” The prosecutors call his claim baseless.
According to HipHopDX: Lanez wasn’t denied the right to counsel under the Sixth Amendment, and neither was any of the evidence — including the admission of the DNA evidence — improper. Moreover, the alleged “improper” evidence wasn’t objected to at trial, making it “proper” by the letter of the law.
Also, the prosecution believes Lanez’s claims were false. He said that he wasn’t allowed to testify at trial and that his rights to due process were violated.
(GEMS RADIO)---Coolio has died from of a fentanyl overdose among other drugs found in his system. The rapper was suffering from heart disease and asthma as well. His death was as a result of the effects of a cocktail of fentanyl, heroin and methamphetamines says CBS. The rapper will be remembered for his hit, "Gangsta's Paradise", which won Grammy in 1995.
