(GEMS RADIO)– Rick Ross, a veteran rapper, gave $30k to a health clinic in Georgia to help it pay for lights. The clinic known as Fayette C.A.R.E, nearly depleted its finances. Fortunately, now they can use Ricky’s donations to finance the clinic and ensure things are running smoothly.
Fayette C.A.R.E was aiming to raise $50k and had been stuck at $19k when Ross came on board. His sizeable donation filled the gap and at this moment Fayetteville, Georgia’s residents who are 18 years and above can get free medical attention at the clinic with the staff confident about the future.
Rick Ross’s Father’s Death Inspired Him to Donate
Rick Ross learned that the clinic in Georgia was going to close through Steve Sadow, his lawyer. He wrote a check of $30,179 to prevent this unfortunate situation from happening. He then handed the check to the women who operate the clinic on Monday the 19th. He explained that he cherishes healthcare because of his health problems and losing his father when he was young.
“A clinic like this means a lot to me. I lost my father at an early age and I felt like one of the reasons I lost him so early was his lack of healthcare,” He said.
The clinic makes it possible for poor people to be seen by doctors and get budget drugs and it has been depending on donations to operate. Rick Ross’s is the biggest donation the clinic has ever received since it opened its doors. Rick ross added that he intends to continue supporting the health center in the future.
Not the First Time
This is not the first time Ross is doing this great gesture. In 2020, he collaborated with Habitat for Humanity to construct a home for a veteran in the same region. He takes the communities in Georgia’s countryside as his friends and family.
This donation comes days after Rick Ross annoyed his neighbors because the people who attended his car show at the beginning of this month littered a plaza in South Fulton town. A huge number of fans showed up for his car show which took place on his Promise Land Estate.
There were also many stars in attendance. Fat Joe praised Rick Ross for his ingenious way of making money and using his own property to do it.
