(GEMS RADIO)- Ludacris celebrated opening a chicken and beer airport restaurant at LAX, in Los Angeles. This is his second restaurant. He opened his first eatery in 2016 in Atlanta at Gate D5 of the Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. The latest restaurant is located in Terminal 3 at LAX.
Luda shared the news about the launch on Instagram on Wednesday of July 19. The name of the restaurant is the same as his third album Chicken-n-Beer which he released in 2003.
“ITS OFFICIAL!!!!!” His post read. It was accompanied by a photo of the employees.
“CHICKEN & BEER LAX IS NOW OPEN! [five fire emojis] TERMINAL 3! LOS ANGELES LETS GO!!!”
Based on the information available on the eatery’s site, the restaurant offers
“all the flavors of Southern soul food from fresh made waffles with crispy fried chicken, creamy shrimp and grits, better than your mama’s mac & cheese, greens and more.”
This May, Ludacris became one of the few rappers who have been honored on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He is the holder of the 2,756th star. Other stars who attended the occasion include Tyrese, Vin Diesel, Queen Latifah, and LL COOL J. At the event, Luda became emotional when Ellen K called the rapper’s eldest daughter Karma to the stage to say something.
“I was fighting tears. Seriously, I was glad that I had my sunglasses on today,” Luda said. “That blew me away. Usually, it’s not easy for people to keep certain things from me, but that was 100 percent a surprise. Seems like everybody knew but me! I’m a little pissed off right now. I’m a little mad.”
Ludacris acknowledged that he became a successful and famous rapper because of his supporters and fellow rappers who assisted him in his music career.
“No matter what people say I can’t do, I will continue to shatter those stereotypes and show people it’s possible in order to make everyone who got me here proud,” He added. “Because you all inspire my hard work and dedication to receive this star today. I’m motivated by legacy and history.”
“This means that I’ve made my mark, my own personal history being documented. To be amongst these names is just amazing to me. I’m just so thankful. So, getting a star is a statement, but be clear about this statement, the even bigger statement to me is that we are all interconnected.
“And I am a culmination of the people who showed up for me today believing in me and pushing me to inspire me. So y’all be clapping for me all day I’m gonna need y’all to give yourselves a round of applause. Because I’m nothing without you.”
Meanwhile, Jeremih surprised his fans by releasing a new single titled “Room” on Monday (July 17). It’s his first song this year. He features 2 Chainz and Adekunle Gold. The song has an afrobeat feel and has been well-received by fans worldwide.
