(GEMS RADIO)- The Canadian rapper still found time to delight fans with some well-known faces during a hit-filled set that saw Drake pull out fan favorites dating back to his first album.
The Dreamville Show
Although Drake and J. Cole were listed as the co-headliners of the Dreamville Festival on Sunday night, Drake’s set ended up being its own small SHOW because of the several special guests he invited to complete the performance. Drake managed to surprise his audience with some well-known faces throughout a hit-filled concert that included songs from his debut album, as well as current hits.
Other Special Appearances
Before GloRilla performed her viral hit “FNF (Let’s Go),” he presented the fans to the rising Memphis star. Then, unexpectedly, Lil Uzi Vert showed up wearing a pretty understated outfit for Lil Uzi Vert, inspiring performances of “XO Tour Llif3” and “Just Wanna Rock.” Young Money leader Lil Wayne made an appearance during Drake’s version of his 2011 party song “The Motto” to deliver not only his verse and also performances of “Uproar” and “A Milli.”
Drake And 21 Savage Performances
Before concluding, Drake brought on stage 21 Savage, a partner on the Her Loss album, to play “Knife Talk” and “Rich Flex,” two of their collaborative songs.
Cole joined Drake as his performance drew to a close, and the two spent the festival’s closing moments showing each other their admiration before J. Cole wrapped things up with his crowd-pleasing song “No Role Modelz.”
On Sunday, April 2, the spectacular shows only improved as more artists, including Burna Boy, Baby Tate, Wacka Flocka Flame, Summer Walker, and others, gave it their all. Naturally, J. Cole and his friend Drake had to appear because Dreamville Festival wouldn’t be complete without them.
