(GEMS RADIO)- Kodak Black has been having a run-in with the law for the last few years. Last year he was arrested and charged with trafficking drugs after police found oxycodone pills in his vehicle. Lately, reports are indicating that Kodak Black surrendered himself to the authorities due to a different arrest warrant.
He was been wanted by the police for violating the compulsory drug test associated with last year’s arrest for drug trafficking.
Kodak Black Has Been Busy
Ever since, Kodak has been busy focusing on his music career and also trying hard to honor the conditions of his release. He had recently failed to comply with the terms of his release and, as a result, turned himself in on Monday, 26th June, to deal with the issue. According to reports, he ironed out the legal process flawlessly, and even things ended favorably for him.
At the moment, Kodak Black was released, and the judge set his bond at $250K. Reports by TMZ indicate that he went to a Florida jail yesterday to renegotiate the strict conditions of his release. Apparently, the terms of release were stressing Kodak Black immensely. The conditions included frequent pretrial meetings and compulsory drug tests.
His attorney, Bradford Cohen, told the judge that his client wanted these restrictions removed. The judge approved the request and increased the initial bond from $75K to the current figure of $250K.
In and Out of Jail in a Day
He stayed in jail for less than an hour and settled the $175K balance to clear his latest bond. His lawyer expressed his happiness and considers this as a victory. From now onwards, Kodak won’t be required to comply with the stringent release and pretrial conditions when he tours all over the world.
Yak left his fans worried when he recently went live on Instagram. In the live video, he sat in a dimly lit room while wearing no shirt. His fans speculated that substance abuse caused his strange behaviors. These are mere speculations, and at Gemsradio, we will keep you updated on how his case will progress.
