(GEMSS RADIO)- Kanye West is no longer concerned about a legal issue. In an incident where he grabbed and threw a woman’s phone to stop her from photographing him, Kanye West won’t be charged.
Kanye West Won’t Be Charged
The head of G.O.O.D. Music was accused of seizing and discarding a woman’s phone because he thought she was paparazzi. TMZ reports that the January incident charges have now been withdrawn.
According to records from the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office that TMZ got on Wednesday, March 15TH, the woman’s phone only sustained minimal damage that only harmed the $30 case that covered the phone. According to the records, she also decided not to charge Kanye.
The Snatch And Throw Incident
Although it was not proven that the woman was a hired camerawoman, the rapper and producer thought a female paparazzi had trailed him as he left his daughter North’s basketball game at the time of the incident.
Another onlooker who witnessed the incident captured Kanye West reaching the woman’s car and confronting her on tape. Ye was heard saying, “You didn’t have to run up on me like that,” as the woman recorded from inside her car.
A witness in the car captured Kanye leaning into the woman’s car, grabbing her phone, and throwing it into the street while the two continued to argue. At about 4:30 PM, according to reports, Ventura County Sheriff’s Department deputies arrived on the site and were given access to the camera as proof.
Kanye West Admits He Feels Caged
Kanye West approached a cameraman shooting him in West Hollywood a month later. He spoke with the freelancer after telling the paparazzo to stop filming him and explaining his problems with photographers closing in on him.
Ye then admitted to the photographer that he started using medication due to becoming “angry towards paparazzi.” “I can never live in California like I’m some kind of caged animal to be evaluated and photographed,” Kanye West continued.
