(GEMS RADIO)- Drake, Kanye West, and The Weeknd are a few big names who made Spotify’s list of the top American artists streamed in 2022. Lil Baby, Kendrick Lamar, Morgan Wallen, Future, and YoungBoy round up the remaining five positions.
The Most Streamed Artists 2022
Drake takes the top place, followed by Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, Ye, and The Weeknd. The list of Spotify’s most-streamed male artists has Bad Bunny, Kanye West, The Weeknd, and the late Juice WRLD.
Doja Cat is the second-most streamed female artist in the nation behind Taylor Swift. Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande take the third and fourth spots, respectively. The fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth spots are Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, SZA, Rihanna, and Rihanna.
Overall, Bad Bunny is the top artist, followed by T-Swift, Drizzy, The Weeknd, and the K-Pop trio BTS, in that order. As the fifth most played music in the nation, Jack Harlow’s No. 1 hit single “First Class” also received some love.
Drake’s Long-Term Admiration For 2Pac
Drake joined the party by posting the artists he listened to the most in 2022. The head of OVO Sound was in the top 7% of 2Pac’s listeners in On Drake and Majid Jordan’s song “Stars Align,” 2Pac was sampled. Shakur’s name also appeared in the credits, and the song sampled ‘Pac’s 1995 hit “Temptations”.
Drake has a long history of admiring 2Pac. Drake expressed his admiration for him, not just for his music but also for his way of life.
In an interview, he said, “If there was someone that I hope I could be a bit more like, it’d definitely be Pac.” “I believe he just turned people with who he was, the way he handled himself,” “apart from his music, which was really great.”
