(GEM RADIO)- In a recent Instagram post, Kanye West claims Adidas doesn’t want no more smoke. He seems certain that his rant is over with him on the winning side. This all was shortly after Swizz Beatz called for an Adidas boycott in support of Kanye West.
Warning to Addidas
In the post, he wrote in all caps, “I COULD HEAR THE JOY IN MY TEAMS VOICES TODAY,” he wrote in all caps. “ADIDAS DON’T WANT NO MORE SMOKE. THE MOVIE CREDITS ARE ROLLING. THIS WAR WASN’T ABOUT MONEY. IT WAS ABOUT CONTROL OF OUR FAMILIES. OF OUR BUSINESSES. OF OUR STORY. OF OUR VOICE. I GAVE THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO SETTLE THIS QUIETLY.” He then concludes his rant with a clear message for his next target. “NOW IT’S TIME FOR GAP. ”
In a later post, Kanye West shared a note from his team: ” Dear Ye, Your legal team, recommends that we refrain from posting anything on Gap for another 10 days.” He added in the caption: 10 days.”
All this heat steered up when Kanye West accused Adidas of stealing his designs from Yeezy and profiting from them. He unleashed a war on basically their entire staff, specifically targeting the senior brand vice president and the general manager.
On September third, he posted this “venture capitalist whose only adventure is capitalism. Can’t create so they try to out count the creatives,” adding, “I guarantee you’ll have to relocate before I’m legally finished with you.”
GAP
Ye also had similar complaints with Gap. He was seemingly upset when Gap allegedly held a meeting and was explicitly not invited. He wrote in his Instagram post, “Gap held a meeting without me?”
He followed this post with another, implying that this company was stealing his designs. “This is Gap copying YGEBB,” it read. Kanye added the caption: “But they canceled the photo shoot with my kids in Japan without me knowing.”
Swizz Beat Defends Kanye West
Swizz Beatz has joined the fight in support of Kanye West by calling for an Adidas boycott.
“I usually mind my business, but this is DEAD WRONG!” wrote Swizz. “If we let them do this to @kanyewest, it will happen to us also! This man created this groundbreaking innovation and should be respected as a creative! YE is only asking for his work to be respected and not stolen; that’s not crazy to me!! We not buying these!!!!!!!!!!!! @adidas, you’re supposed to be original. Do the correct thing, please!!!” In response, Kanye West said, “That’s love.”
