Gunna’s latest album, “a Gift and a Curse”, which he released this year, continues to grow in popularity each week. The most surprising thing is that he did not feature other rappers while making the album. The music in the album is about the challenges he faced in jail after being arrested last year. Other hip-hop artists haven’t accepted him, but it’s evident that his fans still love him and enjoy his music.

Fate of Gunna’s Music Career

A lot of people believed that Gunna’s career was on its deathbed and wouldn’t thrive again. Some people said Gunna snitched on his co-defendants to get a good plea deal, particularly Young Thug. Even though Gunna insisted he never told on any rapper, this has not prevented many people from wishing that he fails. However, he is still winning big in his career, and he even clinched a top-ten song for the first time since he started his career. His single “f*kumean” has claimed this coveted position.

Even though Gunna has been trying to keep a low profile, recently, he responded to his critics. At the beginning of the week, he conveyed a message to the people who thought his music career will end. He posted a video on Instagram Story which showed a man who was walking on a rope without falling as it swung from one side to the other. We can interpret it as Gunna being the man walking on the rope. The caption read, “Them: I cant’s wait till he falls off. He also wrote the word “Me” over the man’s balancing antics.

Gunna Confirms He Will Get Back on Stage Soon

Recently, he also confirmed that he will be getting back on the stage, which will be his first time performing since he was arrested. Toward the end of this year, he will have performances at two concerts in Los Angeles and New York. The New York concert will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on September 9th, and it has been labeled “The Gift”. The Los Angeles Show will be held at the YouTube Theatre on the 28th of the same month, and it has been labeled “The Curse”.

Meanwhile, Ice Cube has explained that the reason he responds to critics on social media despite being told he is too old to do that is that he does it to defend himself.

You Gotta Buss on Em

“You know, sometimes, you gotta buss on’em,” he said. “You can’t just always have’em incoming, you know what I mean? Sometimes you gotta hit the corner and buss on’em.”

He continued: “When you wanna talk slick to me on Twitter, you can expect to get a response. Lettin’ stuff slide, lettin’ it ride — I mean, I know there’s a bunch of bots. Sometimes, you gotta slap a bot too, you know what I’m sayin’? You can’t take no stuff from no robots either. At the end of the day, it’s really just about standin’ up for yourself and not lettin’ these folks talk slick to you.”

He said this during an interview with Memphis K97 on Sunday, of 16th.
