(GEMS RADIO)—Gangsta Boo, from rap group Three 6 Mafia, died yesterday from a drug overdose. There was fentanyl-laced substance found at the scene.
Gangsta Boo, better known as Lola Mitchell, was a female pioneer in the rap game. She was the only female rapper in Three 6 Mafia. Three 6 Mafia was found in the early 90s, thus Gangsta Boo helped pave the way for females in the rap game.
She also had a few solo albums under her belt as well. The rapper was well known in the Memphis music scene and will be missed.
She was 43.
