(GEMS RADIO)—Frank Ocean’s Coachella set left some confused. Following a six year hiatus from performing as well, this was the performance to see. Apparently, he suffered a nasty bicycle accident prior to his set at Coachella that messed up his ankle pretty badly.
The R&B singer came out an hour late. He covered his songs “Nikes” and “Nights” but in an EDM format. His livestream was pulled at the last minute as well.
“It’s been so long. Everybody talks about how long it’s been. ‘It’s been so long, it’s been so long.’ But I have missed you,” he told the crowd during a brief intermission. “I want to talk about why I’m here, because it’s not because of a new album. Not that there’s not a new album… but there’s not right now.”
Ocean is set to close out the second weekend of Coachella, hoping not to repeat what happened in his first set.
