(GEMS RADIO)- During the Brooklyn Nets’ season-opening halftime show, Fivio Foreign sparked debate online. The halftime show’s shaky performance by Fivio Foreign, which was marred by technical issues, drew harsh criticism.
The Brooklyn rapper’s career will go down as one of the most successful debuts of 2022. Everything was going well for Fivio, the chart-topping hits and the album that Kanye produced.
Fivio’s Performance
However, things changed on Tuesday, October 17th. The rapper from Say My Name was chosen to sing during the Brooklyn Nets’ home debut versus the New Orleans Pelicans. Despite his best efforts, Fivio’s audio started to hinder his performance of a medley of his top songs. The B.I.B.L.E. star was having trouble following the words as the background music played across the venue.
Fans Reactions
Fans immediately took to social media to express their disapproval of Fivio’s performance. One user quipped, “I wonder if this is how I’ll sound in the shower without the music.” The dancers even make mistakes. Another viewer chimed in, “They’re wrong for this.”
Some fans did show sympathy for Foreign’s weak performance despite the backlash. It doesn’t make it any less humorous, even if you can tell it wasn’t his fault. You ought to have lip-rapped that.
He is still doing Good
Despite the bad performance, Fivo is still causing a stir in the music industry. Earlier this month, he received a nomination for Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the BET Hip Hop Awards. GloRilla won the prize in the end, but many fans thought Fivio was a better candidate. He responded to allegations that he had been cheated out of the victory on Twitter by writing, “I did not get robbed. GloRilla won cuz she deserves it & I’m happy for her.”
