(GEMS RADIO)—Drake’s manager is now stepping into the alleged scheme that UMG used bots and payola to help Kendrick Lamar’s hit “Not Like Us” do so well.
Many fans took to social media describing Drake as a snake and that this was a weak move on his part. Drake’s manager posted lyrics on Instagram to place Drake in a better light.
UMG swiftly responded: “The suggestion that UMG would do anything to undermine any of its artists is offensive and untrue,” a rep for the company told the publication. “We employ the highest ethical practices in our marketing and promotional campaigns. No amount of contrived and absurd legal arguments in this pre-action submission can mask the fact that fans choose the music they want to hear.”
