(GEMS RADIO)–Rap fans love talking about Verzuz battles as much as they love debating about the top five greatest rappers of all time. One of the names that pop up every now or then when it comes to top fives is Eminem. Arguably the greatest rapper in history.
Some rappers have praised the lyricist terming him unf**kwitable in Verzuz. But not everyone shares the sentiments. Busta Rhymes has for long eyed sharing the Verzuz arena with the Detroit rapper. Although there are few indications that he might, the conversation about it is still rife on the internet.
Eminem Vs. Who?
On Sunday, Dr. Dre gave his thoughts about the battle pitting Eminem. The producer posted a video of his good friend rapping his tongue-twisting verse from “Godzilla.”
Dr. Dre captioned the post, “Marshall Mathers vs Who???!!”
Although Dre’s question may not be referring to a Verzuz, he nonetheless started a conversation on who would be a worthy opponent to the Slim Shady.
Among the replies to Dre’s question was Jonathan Mannion, a veteran Hip Hop photographer and photographer of Marshall Mather LP album cover. The veteran agreed with the doctor saying, “Nobody. Eminem is surgical.”
But not everybody agreed with Dr. Dre. Verzuz cofounder Swizz Beatz had someone in mind and didn’t hesitate to state who he thought was worth taking on Marshall Mathers in the arena
“BUSTA !!!!!!!!!!! Let’s go,” Swizz Beatz replied.
Lil Wayne and Jay-Z were among other favorites in the list of opponents’ names that were brought forward in the conversation.
Charlamagne Begs To Differ On Em
While almost everybody thinks Em is untouchable, Charlamagne Tha God is on the dissenting side. To him, Eminem doesn’t stand a chance on Verzuz.
During an episode of Brilliant Idiots podcast last year, the Breakfast Club host stated that Em would get washed in any Verzuz
“Em don’t have the songs like that. Em can rap and we like Em as a rapper, [but] Future washes Eminem in a Verzuz. Em don’t got nothing that slaps like [6ix9ine’s] ‘GUMMO’ to these young kids. Yo, Young Thug washes Eminem in a Verzuz.”
