(GEMS RADIO)—Doja Cat is ready to ditch pop music and have her next album be all rap. She wants to prove herself in the rap game.
“I agree with everyone who said the majority of my rap verses are mid and corny. I know they are. I wasn’t trying to prove anything I just enjoy making music but I’m getting tired of hearing y’all say that i can’t so I will,” admits Doja.
Despite criticisms within the rap game, Doja is out to prove herself before anyone else. Doja has released a number of singles that all charted well, including ‘Say So,’ ‘Kiss Me More,’ ‘You Right,’ ‘Woman’ and ‘Best Friend,’ among others. She also won a Grammy for “Kiss me More” featuring SZA.
Her competition is stiff—from Nicki Minaj to Cardi B to Megan Thee Stallion.
