Emerging details reveal that the orchestrator behind the heinous attack on Dave Chappelle is a 23-year-old man named Isaiah Lee who happens to be a rapper going by ‘NoName Trapper.’ The comedian was attacked on stage at Hollywood Bowl in LA as he performed on Tuesday night
In a bizarre twist, the struggling rapper happens to have a song on Spotify named after the famed comedian. Mr. Lee repeats the lyrics “Life with you Ni**a A Joke.” At the time of this incident, he has 5,700 monthly Spotify listeners and 32,000 Instagram followers.
The motive behind the attack still remains unclear, although it’s suspected to be clout chasing gone wrong. Things didn’t go according to plan for Mr. Lee, to say the least. In a clip that has emerged following the incident, the man is being manhandled by a group of men backstage at the event.
In a second video, NoName Trapper is being loaded onto an ambulance. His face appears badly bruised and swollen and his right elbow is twisted backward as he struggles to sit on the stretcher.
It is being alleged that the attacker carried a weapon as he lunged toward Chapelle on stage. It appeared that the man had with him, a real knife and a gun that turned out to be a replica. It’s still unclear how he managed to sneak past the security with the weapon.
The Los Angeles Police Department reported that the weapon was confiscated a few moments after the brawl and the man was taken into custody after a trip to the hospital. He will be charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon.
Joining Dave Chappelle on stage after the incident was Chris Rock who made his first joke about Will Smith after the Oscar incident where Smith infamously slapped the comedian.
“Was that Will Smith!?” asked Chris.
