(GEMS RADIO)—-Beyoncé got what she wished for: the coveted album of the year award at this year’s Grammys. She took the prize home for Cowboy Carter. She also won the Best Country Album.
Kendrick Lamar also made history by sweeping all the categories he was nominated for with “Not Like Us”. Doechii won best Rap Album being the third female to ever win the prize. She follows in the footsteps of Lauryn Hill and Cardi B, both who have won the award before her. Doechii also tipped her hat to Tyler, the Creator with a performance ode to him.
The award show was televised last night with a heavy mourning of the loss of community following the wildfires in California.
