Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner File Defamation Lawsuit Against Ray J

Kim Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner, have officially filed a defamation lawsuit against Ray J after the singer made public claims insinuating that they are subjects of a federal racketeering, or RICO, investigation. The complaint, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, accuses Ray J of spreading false allegations without any credible evidence, harming the reputations of both women.

The lawsuit cites two major episodes: a segment in a TMZ Presents documentary and a September livestream in which Ray J alleged that federal agents were preparing a racketeering case targeting the Kardashians. He warned that the unfolding investigation would be “worse than Diddy,” fueling speculation and controversy.  Kardashian and Jenner’s legal team countered those statements as “false and defamatory,” declaring that no such investigation exists and no law enforcement agency has initiated any action.

If the court finds Ray J liable for defamation, he could be ordered to pay both compensatory and punitive damages, as the lawsuit argues that his remarks constitute a sustained campaign of harassment.

The case represents one of the most serious legal responses either Kardashian or Jenner have made against a public figure. As proceedings unfold, both legal observers and fans will closely monitor whether Ray J can provide proof to back his claims—or whether the lawsuit will further expose the boundaries of defamation law in celebrity disputes.
