(GEMS RADIO)—A$AP Rocky was awarded Cultural Innovator at this year’s 2024 Fashion Awards.
The Cultural Innovator Award celebrates a leading innovator and image-maker in the entertainment industry, who over the course of the year, has created viral fashion moments which have had a profound impact on the fashion industry and wider culture.
As he accepted the award he had this to say: “I’m a come clean, this is surreal right now. This is crazy! It’s about fuckin’ time, you know what I’m saying? But honestly though, I’m very honored. Being a cultural innovator, it means so much to me. Especially being a rapper, having endeavors in the fashion industry, and I think that the lines are definitely merged now.”
He also encouraged young rappers that they could do this too.
On the music side of things Rocky’s album long delayed Don’t Be Dumb has been pushed back again as no release date is set.
