Fatman Scoop Dies at 53

(GEMS RADIO)—Fatman Scoop, who is known for his song “Be Faithful” and was featured in Missy Elliott’s “Lose Control” died at the age of 53 over the weekend.

He collapsed after a performance in Connecticut. The cause of death isn’t clear just yet.

Missy and others are commemorating the rapper.“Your IMPACT is HUGE & will be NEVER be forgotten,” she added.

Questlove expressed his gratitude as well, “for being an embodiment of what hip hop was truly about. To just forget about your troubles and live in the moment and allow joy in.”

His family said in an Instagram post that “the world lost a radiant soul, a beacon on stage and in life.”
