(GEMS RADIO)—Cassie has released a statement earlier this week regarding hip hop entrepreneur Diddy. The statement released thanked everyone for their support following the physical assault that was caught on video. The infamous video caught Diddy physically assaulting and kicking Cassie while she was on the floor in a hotel suite.
“I don’t see a path for him to come back from this,” said Amy DuBois Barnett, the former editor-in-chief of Ebony magazine.
Combs’ reputation in the industry had been “chequered for some time,” added Barnett. “Many people were aware of his pretty unbridled temper.”
Back in the 90s the disgraced icon was accused of assaulting record executive Steve Stoute. There are other lawsuits that are coming forward for sexual assault now against the rapper.
