(GEMS RADIO)—-Common & Pete Rock are gearing up for a new joint album together called The Auditorium Volume 1 with their first single “Wise Up”. The song is a throwback as Common raps: “Where we’re both trying to get to, it ain’t coincidental/ His is on the streets, mines is over instrumentals/ The Lord sent my mental to be more than sentimental/ The ventricles that I vent through are temples of what I’ve been through.”
The video looks like it is a vintage clip shot in New York City. The song’s lyrics and beat itself is an instrumental view of how hip hop can be rejuvenated.
