(GEMS RADIO)—Common says he has been working with Pete Rock on his new album.
He claims that this is some of his best music ever. “Y’all gon’ think I’m just talking,” he prefaced. “But [I want to pick] this new Pete Rock joint. I’m a see y’all when I come back, whenever I’m back, and y’all can tell me if I’m bullsh*ttin’ or not,” he said in a MusiCares conference panel in Santa Monica on April 22.
The people who have heard it says it is his best album to date. The Chicago rapper has been in the game a long time and has been able to stay fresh and ahead of the curve in hip hop culture.
