Spotify shared the information that Tyler’s track “See You Again” achieved this mean feat on Sunday the 2nd of July. He featured Kali Uchis in the song.
Tyler posted the caption “Thank you to all ears,” on Instagram Story.
Tyler is the newest rapper to join this club recently. In 2022, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre also joined the 1B streams clubs when their song “Still Dre” exceeded the 1 billion streams mark.
Other celebrities and artists who have made a similar accomplishment before are Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran, J.Cole, Eminem, and The Weekend.
For Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s case, their accomplishment happened in 2022 February, just after they performed the song during the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show.
For Tyler, the Creator, his song is from the album titled Flower Boy. It recently gained a lot of popularity after trending on Tik Tok. On June 10, Robin posted a video of his son on Instagram where the boy was performing the song in a school event.
