(GEMS RADIO)—As Gems Radio reported back in January, Papoose is now the head of Tunecore. Tunecore is a driving force in the music industry helping independent artists to thrive.
“I’m passionate, and I want to see others win,” said Papoose. “They say experience is the best teacher. I think it’s very important we have companies like tune core because they put the artist first,” said Papoose. “If you look at the music business… executives and all these other people are living better than the other artists. That’s how it was in the past.”
Papoose talks from experience saying the label he initially signed with suppressed his voice and pushed him around.
Tune Core is now home to artists like Lizzo, Ed Sheeran, and Chance the Rapper. In 2021, Papoose made history by releasing 12 albums with Tune Core, while taking on 100% of the profit, something that you wouldn’t see in the past with record labels.
Now, Papoose is scouting for new talent and artists.
