(GEMS RADIO)- I understand that y’all have been waiting. Snoop Dogg announced the legendary Death Row Records back catalog’s release to streaming services. Following signing an agreement with former Apple executive Larry Jackson, Snoop Dogg has confirmed the reintroduction of Death Row Records’ back catalog to streaming services.
Death Row Record Back To Streaming Services
Shortly after purchasing the label last year, the West Coast icon removed Death Row Records from streaming services. Snoop Dogg and Usher are among the celebrities that appear on Jackson’s new platform, which he introduced earlier this week.
On Thursday, Mar. 9, he published a number of social media messages hinting at his homecoming.
“We heard what you said. The time has come,” declared Snoop and the label in a joint post. Tonight at 9 p.m. PST, the Death Row Records catalog will resume streaming globally.
As promised, the Doggfather celebrated the announcement on Instagram Live promptly.
“I know you’ve been waiting for it, but Death Row Records will go online again on streaming services. It’s back; I wanted to double-check everything before putting it back up, he said. But once again, everything will be available for your enjoyment while streaming. “Sincerely, from yours truly, Big Snoop Dogg,” he wrote as his closing line.
Why Snoop Dogg Pulled Death Row Records From Streaming Services
This April, Snoop Dogg discussed the reasons behind pulling the renowned Death Row catalog during a segment on Drink Champions.
“Since those well-known outlets don’t pay, the first thing I did was scoop up all the music from them. And nobody gets paid other than the record labels for those sites’ millions of streams. To develop a platform like Amazon, Netflix, or Hulu, I intended to take my music from the Internet.
