French Montana Responds To Becoming The Most-Streamed Artist Who Is African-Born In History

(GEMS RADIO)- The Bronx native shared the information of him being named the most streamed artist of African descent in history on Instagram on Monday, February 20. French included some images in his article, including a list of songs that the Recording Industry Association of America had awarded gold or platinum certification.

The Small Immigrant Boy Has Faith

French Montana’s Instagram image was captioned, “That small immigrant boy has faith.” “Thank you to all of my fans; I love you all. Let’s make more history. (DOCUMENTARY COMING SOON) A target without a strategy is just a wish.”

The rapper French Montana emerged as the most streamed musician of African descent over the weekend, according to his publicist. His breakthrough song “Unforgettable,” which featured Swae Lee, received a diamond certification last year and amassed over three billion streams globally; as a result, helping him reach the milestone. French became the first artist of African descent to receive the honor thanks to the diamond certification.

French Montana’s Humanitarian Work

Throughout his career, French Montana has portrayed his African roots. French earned the 2022 Innovator Award in October for his humanitarian work in Uganda at the annual Pencils of Promise Gala in New York City.

In addition to sponsoring the Budondo Suubi “Hope” Health Center, the region’s major facility for providing treatment for new and expecting women and their neonates, French was recognized at the gala for her role in raising more than $226 million for healthcare in Uganda.

Making History for My People

French Montana shared pictures of himself carrying his most recent piece of silverware at the ceremony as he posted messages about receiving the honor on his Instagram page.

He wrote, “MAKING MORE HISTORY FOR MY PEOPLE!” “I want to thank @pencilsofpromise for giving me the Innovator Award at last night’s gala. A vital human rights component is access to healthcare and education, which should be available everywhere.
