A backstage video has emerged online showing Cardi B shouting and yelling at the Grammys (2023) in what appears to be about a fight that broke out between Offset (Kiari Kendrell Cephus) and Quavo.
According to TMZ, the two Migos rappers fought backstage at the Grammys Award held in Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 5, 2023.
Tension between Quavo and Offset
The channel claimed there was tension between Quavo and Offset for some time before it boiled over and became physical. The two had to be separated, after which the Recording Academy called Offset to sing alongside Quavo on stage, but he refused.
A source privy to the matter claimed Quavo started the fight. In the footage, Cardi B is seen getting agitated at the event as he was perhaps shedding more light on the altercation.
“Both of y’all wrong! Both of y’all! This is not right! No bitch, shut the fuck up ’cause you shouldn’t have been talking,” the Bronx superstar is heard saying.
Cardi B Regains Her Cool
Later on, Cardi B left the scene of the altercation and walked past the reporters, looking more composed and making the fracas look like a non-issue when questioned about it.
“I heard you back here settled some stuff,” a reporter quipped, and Cardi B responded by saying: “The only thing I settled was my outfit, honey,” and she laughed about it.
While the footage points to a clear fracas between Offset and Quavo, the former claimed there was no quarrel between his collaborator and cousin. He tried to make everything look cool.
“What tf look like fighting my brother yal n-ggas is crazy,” Kiari Kendrell posted in a tweet just after the story surfaced. So far, Quavo hasn’t said anything about the brawl but is expected to say something soon.
What Could Have Happened?
A sour relationship between Offset and Quavo began before the tragic death of TakeOff in November 2022. Many fans noticed last year that Cardi B and Offset unfollowed TakeOff and Quavo on social media.
