Jermaine Dupri Freaknik Doc is in the Works

(GEMS RADIO)—Jermaine Dupri is excited to announce that he is working on a Freaknik documentary. It will dive into the Atlanta Spring Break scene.

“This the first day of us shooting for the Freaknik documentary,” he said in the clip. “So everybody that missed freaknik, we gon’ show y’all what y’all missed,” says the rapper/producer.

Freaknik began as a gathering thrown in 1983 by the students of the Atlanta University Center. Crowds reached 300,000 by 1990. Lil Kim and Chuck Inglish is keeping the Freaknik spirit alive through their lyrics. The festival has grown in popularity over the years. It has come to tradition to be held in the Atl every year.
