(GEMS RADIO)—Diddy called up Bryson Tiller to celebrate their number one hit “Gotta Move On”.
“Gotta Move On” currently is at number one on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart – which makes for the Bad Boy CEO’s eleventh No. 1 overall and his very first under his new Love Record label.
“This is not just a me No. 1. It was Bryson Tiller’s record first,” Diddy explained. “I was doing this R&B album and I’m a big Bryson Tiller fan and I had called him and I was like, ‘Man I heard this record that you did. Is there a way you would consider letting me use it on my album and dropping it as my first single?’”
Obviously the pair went on to a fruitful collab. “Whenever I do a vulnerable record like that, you know, I usually have the best success,” Diddy added. “But it couldn’t happen without Bryson Tiller. He’s an amazing artist.” Puffy’s first album since 2006’s Press Play is entitled Off the Grid Volume 1. This will be his first album under his Love record label.
“Music has always been my first love, Love Records is the next chapter is about getting back to the love and making the best music of my life,” Diddy said in a statement at the time. “For the label, I’m focused on creating timeless R&B music with the next generation of artists and producers. Motown is the perfect partner for my album and I’m excited to add to its legacy.”
