The slaughterhouse group had a bitter public split in the beginning of this year. This happened after the two sides of the group namely Joell Ortiz and KXNG Crooked against Royce da 5’9 and Joe Budden had a public confrontation.
Joell Ortiz and KXNG Crooked released an album titled The Rise and Fall of Slaughterhouse which seems to have fueled the heated arguments on social media. The two rappers also made a video on Instagram live where they discussed the Slaughterhouse split.
KXNG Crooked clarified that he didn’t hate Royce da 5’9. On the other hand, Joell Ortis hinted that he would like to challenge Royce on a song in the future. Ortiz insisted that he only said the truth in the previous album and he explained to the fans why Slaughterhouse ended. He added that he didn’t mention any names in the album.
He also asserted that if Royce continues to provoke him, he will not think twice about making a diss song. He added that he has been quiet since March.
Ortiz also mentioned Royce da 5’9 latest participation in the My Expert Opinion podcast by Math Hoffa. In the interview, Nickel Nine accused Joell Ortiz and KXNG Crooked of causing the breakup of the Slaughterhouse group by fragmenting their fan base.
Recently, on August 12th, Royce da 5’9 dropped The Heaven Experience Vol 1 collection. The Rise and Fall of Slaughterhouse album was released in March.
In the meantime, a lot has been happening over the weekend in the entertainment industry. 50 cent shared the trailer for his latest horror film Skill House and he mentioned that his 9 year old son will also be part of the cast later in the film.
Apparently, one of the crews in the movie who was operating the camera passed out during one of the bloody scenes and the filming had to be stopped for 30 minutes.
Also, Dr Dre disclosed how the doctors believed he wouldn’t survive last year when he had a brain aneurysm. He said this at an interview in a podcast by Dolvett Quince.
On the other hand, Drake has proven to be the king of streaming again after Shazam, Apple’s streaming platform, named him as the most streamed artist on the platform. “One Dance” is the video with the most Shazams on the platform.
