(GEMS RADIO)—BTS will still be able to perform while in the military.
All South Korean men between the ages of 18-28 are required to serve in the nation’s military for at least 18 months.
BTS, who are on a musical hiatus, have been able to push back their military service.
“Even if they join the military, there would be a way to give them a chance to practice and perform together if there are scheduled concerts abroad. Many people highly value [artists serving] in the military, that may help boost their popularity even more,” says the country’s defense minister Lee Jong-sup.
