(GEMS RADIO)–Less than a week after releasing a diss track directed at his former boss, Ma$e goes to social media to explain why he dissed Diddy. According to Ma$e, the new single titled “Oracle 2: The liberation of Mason Betha” is an empowering anthem for those too afraid of criticizing the mogul.
“When I see the hurt and the pains of other people on Bad Boy, that motivates me to say something so I don’t be deemed as a person who just made a bunch of money and turned a blind eye,” Ma$e continues. “I’m not gonna be like the rest of the people around Puff that don’t tell him he’s wrong. I’m not gonna be like the yes men around him that seem him ruining people’s lives and never tell him he’s wrong.”
He adds, “more people on here would tell me I’m wrong but won’t say anything to him. They’ll judge my beliefs. They’ll judge my Christianity and they’ll say nothing to Puff. They’ll say nothing about ‘is a concert for Biggie and Biggie own daughter couldn’t get in.’ They’ll say nothing about that, but all of his friends got 50 and 60 tickets. We’re done with your games.”
Diddy’s business practices have come under massive scrutiny for the past few weeks after a clip of Making The Band leaked online where contestants spoke candidly about their negative experiences under Diddy.
Diddy commented on the issue, saying, “STOP ALL YOUR CRYING, BITCHING & MOANING. HUSTLE HARDER OR GET THE FUCK OUT OF OUR WAY. – LOVE.”
Back to the diss track, Ma$e sides with the former contestants and can be heard saying,
“Yeah, I’m just a Harlem n-gga reppin’ down a Vegas strip with my own Suge/You from Mt. Vernon, n-gga, go and rep your own hood/I’m not hating on your Billi worth/Right now, I’m only saying what you really work/You ain’t no architect/You just a n-gga who know how to market death.”
It’s not the first time Ma$e has dissed Diddy. In a since-deleted 2020 post, Ma$e aired his frustrations against his former boss.
“Your past business practices knowingly has continued purposely starved your artist and been extremely unfair to the very same artist that helped u obtain that Icon Award on the iconic Bad Boy label,” he wrote. “For example, u still got my publishing from 24 years ago in which u gave me $20k. Which makes me never want to work w/ u as any artist wouldn’t.”
