Just last week, T.I. challenged 50 Cent to a Verzuz battle. T.I was performing at the premiere of the Black Mafia Family in Atlanta when he called out on 50. But it looks like 50 Cent doesn’t want to be part of anything Verzuz.
In response, 50 Cent posted a clip of T.I’s interview on the Big Facts podcast where he addressed his infamous Crime Stoppers commercial. Tip appeared to diss anyone who still talks about the commercial.
50 Cent took issue with T.I’s comments and wrote;
“This n*gga was just telling me about a comedy show he was working on backstage. I don’t like this kinda sh*t, it wouldn’t be a good idea to come around me again. Respectfully stay away from me.”
Verzuz Battle, Just a Lockdown Fad
The Atlanta rapper was on stage performing a medley of hits ‘Whatever You Like’ and ‘What You Know’ when he said; “Hey 50, we got to do this Verzuz, man. Give them what the people want to see, man.”
It is highly unlikely that 50 Cent would do Verzuz. Back in July, when asked if Verzuz was a probability, he replied;
“Probably not. We back outside. That was something that happened during the pandemic when we was stuck in the house.”
“Now that we back outside, there’s other things to do. We are supposed to be creating new history, not being back there.”
The Infamous 2007 Commercial
Back to the Crime Stoppers Atlanta commercial, T.I had agreed to do the ad after being arrested on gun related charges back in 2007. He was facing 20 years in prison. In the video, he urged the community to fight crime by tipping information to the police for rewards. The act, which is popularly known as snitching, is loathed within the black community.
Tip has since said in a 2020 interview with The Breakfast Club that he has no regrets. He went on to joke that if he was caught up in another case, he would do another commercial.
